Exclusive interview with Singer/Songwriter – David Saturn

David Saturn is an electro-pop producer, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Toulouse, France. Composing music since the age of 15, David finally brings his debut single “Dark Eyes”, an electro-pop/funk tune with nods to Calvin Harris, Disclosure and 5 Reasons.

The tune is set to be released on May 29th, 2020 through Divine Spell Music Group so we decided to catch up with David for a quick interview to find out the man behind the music.

What inspired you to get into music?
My father used to be a D.J. in a night club in the 80’s. I wasn’t even out of my mother’s womb yet I already felt the beat! When I was a child, he brought a synth keyboard home. I loved exploring it and pressing buttons to hear each sound. Later, I was interested in computer music production. At school, my favorite subjects were music and languages, especially English. I wanted to sing so I decided to learn more and take singing lessons.

How would you describe your music?
My music is a blend of funk, electro and pop-dance music. I want to make people dance. I like taking different elements from different genres to create my own style with my signature.

What would you say is your recording and song writing style?
I usually start to create the music by listening to many sounds on my computer. I’ll write all the ideas I have in my head. The lyrics come after. It all depends of my mood. It takes me longer to write the lyrics than to compose the music. All the recording is done in my home studio. Inspiration for me many times strikes at night so it’s not unusual for me to be working late.

Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years time?
Hopefully working full time on music and touring the world. Discovering new countries as well as introducing my music to people.

Where can music fans listen your music?
My music is available on my website www.davidsaturn.com and on May 28th on all social media and major digital platforms.
