Don Gramur releases new single “Shoulder Deep”

The future of hip-hop is in safe hands with the newest artist to watch: Don Gramur. Originating from Monroe, Louisiana, Don Gramur knew he was destined for musical greatness from a young age. Don Gramur started to develop his sound and style at a very young age. Don Gramur paints a blank canvas with his lyricism that highlights issues in today’s society and is inspired by the highest up above. From passion to pain, Don Gramur radiates pure, raw emotion onto his music. With strong story-telling lyricism, the Monroe native seeks to create his own artistic lane that brings back substance to music once again. As an independent artist, Gramur has released over twenty songs in 2020 which showcases his innate talent. Don Gramur is an artist that is set to take the music scene by storm and inject a new, unparalleled sound.  His new single “Shoulder Deep”  is a song that both younger and older music fans can positively respond to and find both entertainment and serious value from. There’s a strong emphasis on atmosphere with these song – it’s akin to music blaring from the bottom of a well but within any of the negative connotation such a description of the title implies. Despite the upbeat thrust of the lyrical content, the music inhabits a delicate, dreamlike soundscape.

The  song  has the ability  to capture listener’s attentions. There’s a strong hiphop edge to the song, but a close listen to the track is a fascinating study. Don Gramur’s structure for this song is somewhat obvious, but it’s this sort of bracing simplicity that enables his songs to so readily connect with their intended audience. It’s an amazing song and we managed to catch up with Don Gramur himself for an exclusive interview with Camden Monthly…
