Azwel’s new single The Henchmen, taken from album Halcyon is a war cry from Azwel who is on the verge of blasting through a brick wall with all of the immense power whilst wielding amazing quality music globally.
Azwel is a name that you should get used to hearing if you’re keen on the Top 40, because not only does this latest song have riding high and hard against the establish hierarchy of the Billboard Charts, but the potential content that she’s clearly teasing us with in this latest effort is too exciting to look away from.
Azwel is a project that involves songwriter Jason Perrillo and his live band. For the past 15 years, Jason has gained online success recording and producing independently released albums in his New York studio. He describes the music as melodic, eclectic catchy pop/rock with songs that are influenced by various styles of music. The sound is often compared to britpop/rock artists. The live band consists of Joe Lorge (guitar/backing vocals) Gregg Steele (bass/backing vocals) and Johnny Zaletel (drums/percussion)
Bands like Azwel are the reason that music never gets stale and constantly changes with the times that we live in. Jason keeps alive the relevancy of thick beats that shake the ground beneath us and invite us to leave our inhibitions where we found them and embrace all of the energy that the night has in store for us.
I cannot wait to hear what she has in store for us next, and with the year far from being over, I hope they share at least a couple of more cuts from their forthcoming full length album that I can only imagine is already in the works as I write this article.
