The Rebirth of Juan Sánchez

In today’s Ones to Watch series, we introduce you to composer  Juan Sánchez who in March 2019 took the plunge and released “Rebirth” as a single on Spotify and other music streaming platforms this attracted a lot of positive feedback. Rebirth is certainly an album that really defines Juan’s sound and although he might want to categorise it according to a multitude of genres. After listening to the full album and spending a full day getting into it. It is clear to say, ‘Rebirth’ is certainly on a league of it’s own finding Juan thinking out of the box to truly create a masterpiece. Some of the standout tracks include ‘Heading to Dreamland’, ‘All of us’  and the amazing track ‘Beautiful Rose’ which has two versions. I prefer the piano solo version but i can assure you both are classics in itself.   We decided to catch up with Juan Sánchez for an exclusive interview to find out the man behind the music…

What inspired you to get into music?
This journey of mine began when I started taking piano lessons at the conservatoire at only 14 years old, which is when a deep passion for music and creation of art was born.During the end of the 80’s until the end of the 90’s, I was playing the keyboard with different bands, which helped me to feed this passion. In 1995, I travelled to London to study music and technology, and this is where I lived for five years. In 1999, I started to make instrumental ambient electronic music, and since then I have been creating music for multimedia and sound libraries for music producers and I am also a composer of piano music.

How would you describe your music?
People always tells me that my piano music is very soothing, emotional and relaxing.

What would you say is your recording and song writing style?
For each compositions I like to use a different piano so the recordings sound different to each other. As for my writing style, I am quite influenced by Philip Glass although I also borrow other influences from composers such as Max Richer and Ludovico Einaudi, I really love these contemporary artists.

Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years time?
I prefer to focus on the present and keep working every day, I am not particularly worried about where my music would be in 5 years time but I hope that people still listen to it.

Where can music fans listen your music?
My debut album “Rebirth” is available to listen in all the music streaming platforms and download websites, it can also be listened and downloaded for free on my website and I also have a YouTube channel where I post videos with my music. My music is also being used in lots of YouTube videos as I allow people to use it for free for their YouTube videos as it helps me reach their audiences.
