Zion Antoni is a Publisher and Grassroots independent Recording artist/Record producer from the Bronx NY. He is the Founder/Chair of The Urban Cry LLC, a limited liability company with two main branches: Freelance Journalism, and an independent record company. Zion’s new single “cidade de deus” translated in English “City of God” is certainly one of the books. There have been several releases in 2020 some of which have connected with the sentiment of the public at large. His music has more impact when you find out the other work Zion is involved with on the side.
As a Cultural business proprietor, Zion with his company and stamp Urban Cry has made his own imprint in several industries and territories. He single-handed marketed his own publications like the award-winning “No Prisons” in 2009 that covered perspectives of the prison system, to articles of law, and crime. On social issues, Zion consistently engages with several forums to spread an inspirational and motivational message for those set to come after him. Setting the trends for others to follow is what Zion is all about. But back to the music and the sole reason why we decided to introduce you, readers, to Zion. His music is a mix of rap, soul, reggae, afro-Latino, Jungle, and lounge/Acoustic. It all seems clear when you listen to “cidade de deus” his new single which I found myself consistently pressing the repeat button on this masterpiece. The production and the mix is equal to what you would hear on any on-trend radio station. I believe due to the global situation, 2020 has been a year where many artists have stepped up their game. I just found out about the music of Zion this past week, but I cannot wait to hear more of his material in the future after getting thoroughly hooked on the strutting swagger of “cidade de deus” .

What inspired you to get into music?
Life, Inspiration, and many artists as well.
How would you describe your music?
Natural, it was all around me and gave me out to voice myself.
What would you say is your recording and songwriting style?
Natural by life inspiration, trial, lesson, content, and divine inspiration. Then it All flows out…
Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years’ time?
Feeding the people I’m sent to, legendary.
