Exclusive interview with Nadia Vaeh

Introducing Atlanta native and IMA “Vox Pop” winner, Nadia Vaeh, found her way into artistry through modeling and an unexpected stint with a local Atlanta circus. We caught up with Nadia for an exclusive interview with Camden Monthly

What inspired you to get into music?
Music was what got me through some of the hardest times growing up. It has been a constant place I could turn to for a reset. I wanted to be able to create the same feeling for others as well as amplify the catharsis that just listening to music gave me by being a storyteller. I always love poetry and word crafting and getting to a place that love to Melody was a no-brainer for me!

How would you describe your music?
I would describe my newer music as quirky pop-rock with a punk attitude.

What would you say is your recording and songwriting style?
When it comes to recording I love to sit with a demo for a little while and let it marinate and then I’ll go into the studio and perform what I think will be the live vocal and then I like to try the song out on live audiences. From here, I’ll make tweaks. With songwriting… I can really get inspired from anywhere and I don’t think I necessarily have a style other than whatever I’m writing about is usually pretty honest to what I’m experiencing at the moment. Sometimes if I’m going through something really intense, I have to wait to write about it and reflect later. But oftentimes as well as I’m experiencing it.

Where would you like to see your music career in 5 years time?
I would really love to see my songs lending to others’ artistry and stories; see and hear my music in film, tv, more dance videos. I also see myself traveling and performing more globally. I look forward to connecting with listeners from all over the world!!

Where can music fans listen to your music?
You can find me on any and all streaming platforms under the name Nadia Vaeh. This goes for social media as well! Thank you for the support 🙂
